Opera singer Sir Thomas Allen explores the title character of Mozart's legendary opera "Don Giovanni" from a historical perspective in this captivating docudrama filmed on location in Vienna, Prague and Northern Bohemia. Having become fascinated with the character while performing the role, Allen concludes that Mozart based his amoral seducer of women on real-life Venetian adventurer Giacomo Casanova -- and embarks on a quest to prove his theory.
