The down-home adventures continue in the second season of this long-running comedy, in which crotchety but lovable Grandpa Amos McCoy (Walter Brennan) learns to deal with the ways of teenagers, and the family gets a new dog. Richard Crenna, Kathleen Nolan, Michael Winkelman and Lydia Reed also star in this show that originated the rural comedy genre. Barbara Stanwyck guest stars in an episode.
