Prostitute Gabrielle (Priscilla Bonner), acquitted for the cold-blooded murder of a client, plans to make the most of her newfound freedom by becoming a nurse. Instead, she finds herself becoming the puppet of wealthy Mrs. Fontaine (Virginia Pearson). Fleeing to her native New Orleans, Gabrielle is fortunate to be given another opportunity to start anew. A crew of female filmmakers created this silent-era melodrama inspired by a true story.
