After deciding to have a baby on her own, successful children's book editor Sarah Thomkins (Parker Posey) learns that she can't become pregnant. With nowhere else to turn, Sarah asks her estranged slacker sister (Lauren Ambrose) to carry her baby. Before long, the polar-opposite siblings find themselves under one roof for the first time in a long time. The two acclaimed young actresses are joined by Ron McLarty, Scott Cohen and Michael Arden.
