Featuring the Oscar-winning song "The Shadow of Your Smile," this tale of illicit love between a free-spirited single mother and a married minister is driven by Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton's real-life passion. When her son is sent to a private school, bohemian Laura Reynolds (Taylor) shocks the school administrator, Episcopalian priest Edward Hewitt (Burton), with her attitudes and lifestyle. But the two soon are soon drawn to each other.
