An elderly fishing industry tycoon (Gunnar Eyjolfsson) who's being pressured to sell his factory reunites with his family in their remote, ancestral Icelandic village to thrash over the matter. But over the course of their time together, he discovers that talking to his own family is as difficult a process as trying to compete with the growing threat to his livelihood posed by new technology.
