Struggling law student Derrick (Duane Martin) finds the perfect job as a seat filler at Hollywood awards shows, but his dream job gets a little crazy when a beautiful pop star (Kelly Rowland, of the R&B group Destiny's Child) mistakes him for a music industry bigwig. The two hit it off, but now, Derrick must do some fancy footwork to keep up the charade ... or risk losing his dream girl. Will he come clean in the name of love?
