Directed by acclaimed Russian filmmaker Aleksandr Sokurov, this thoughtful drama examines death, bereavement and loneliness. A young man (Pyotr Aleksandrov) must make funeral arrangements for his father -- but because undertakers don't work on weekends, the body has to remain at home until Monday. As he spends time with his father's corpse, the grieving son must to come to terms with his father's death in a society cut off from spirituality.
