Joel McCrea stars as wandering adventurer Boyd Emerson, who arrives in Alaska's wilderness with his sidekick (Raymond Hatton) and catches the eye of businesswoman Cherry Malotte (Evelyn Brent). Unfortunately, rich socialite Mildred Wayland (Jean Arthur) is determined to win Boyd's heart -- and asks her daddy (Purnell Pratt) to help her do it. Louis Wolheim and Gavin Gordon costar in this early film adaptation of Rex Beach's 1909 novel.
