Packed with slapstick laughs, The Smugglers (1967) is an action-adventure centering on two distaff protagonists who transport parcels and people between warring countries. In the 1971 oater A Girl Is a Gun, Moullet explores themes of lust and reprisal via the exploits of Billy le Kid (Jean-Pierre Leaud).
