Director Roberto Faenza's compelling biopic chronicles the story of Sabina Spielrein (Emilia Fox), a mental patient who became Switzerland's first female psychoanalyst. Suffering from depression, 19-year-old Sabina is committed to a Zurich asylum, where she comes under the care of -- and falls into an affair with -- Dr. Carl Jung (Iain Glen). His then-radical treatment not only heals Sabina but ultimately leads her to become a psychotherapist.
