The Spiral Road

An opportunistic MD (Rock Hudson) travels to the jungles of Indonesia to work with a legendary humanist doctor (Burl Ives) who's been doing groundbreaking work with lepers. Unlike the man he goes to visit, however, any good intent on Hudson's part is overshadowed by his belief that the work will bring him wealth and fame in this film from director Robert Mulligan (who released To Kill a Mockingbird the same year).
