Broadcast journalist Kip Hollings (Christopher Atkins) befriends Professor Stevens (Pat Morita), who says he's found a mummy he claims is the missing link between man and ape. But Stevens's main critic, Dr. Milano, says it's a hoax, causing an uproar in the academic community. That problem pales in comparison to one that's brewing, though: The mummy has apparently risen from the dead, ready to strike at anyone and anything.
