The Strange One

Abetted by his flunkies Harold (Pat Hingle) and Roger (James Olson), sadistic bully Jocko (Ben Gazzara) harasses and manipulates lowerclassmen while trying to wreck the life of Maj. Avery (Larry Gates), headmaster of the Southern military academy they all attend. Based on Calder Willingham's novel and play "End as a Man," this psychological drama features a cast comprised almost entirely of performers from New York's Actors Studio.
