A furious crime boss seeks revenge on an undercover FBI agent in this noir crime drama. Assigned to infiltrate a gang, Agent Cordell (Mark Stevens) gains the confidence of gang leader Stiles (Richard Widmark), helps the gang plan a robbery, then informs the FBI of the details. When an informant tells Stiles there's a mole in his gang, the mob boss decides to kill the undercover agent during the hold-up. Barbara Lawrence and Lloyd Nolan co-star.
