When a dedicated teacher is murdered during a carjacking, his estranged brother, ex-Green Beret Carl Thomasson (Treat Williams) goes undercover to investigate the crime -- which means signing up as a substitute teacher at his brother's former school. Thomasson doesn't have any problem handling the kids; his troubles come when the clues begin to suggest that someone on the inside is responsible for the murder.
