Director Yuen Woo Ping concocts yet another breathtaking martial arts epic that tracks the efforts of one tai chi devotee, Yang (Jacky Wu), to learn the ancient art. His plans are foiled, however, by a guru who thinks he hasn't proven his worth yet. When Yang is kidnapped by his nemesis (Billy Chow), he learns tai chi in secret, honing his skills until he's able to display his power and might in a fight to the finish. Amy Fan co-stars.
