The Telegraph Trail

  (1933)
America's first cross-country telegraph line is under siege by a greedy tycoon (Albert J. Smith) with a scheme to profit by it. He convinces an Indian leader (Yakima Canutt) that the line will bring more white men to the territory, but the uprising draws the notice of agent John Trent (John Wayne), who doles out his own brand of justice. Tenny Wright directs this action epic of the romanticized West set against the backdrop of American history.
