The Thin Blue Lie

  (2000)
In this fact-based story, a new reporter (Rob Morrow) is brought to a Philadelphia newspaper to provide court coverage. One of the first cases he covers involves a mentally handicapped man who was found guilty of murder -- but appears to have been railroaded by the police and beaten into a confession. Randy Quaid plays a senior reporter working with Morrow, and Paul Sorvino is the shady mayor advocating this new regime of police terrorism.
