The close-knit Walton clan returns for more Depression-era struggles and family togetherness in this acclaimed television drama. This season, Mary Ellen (Judy Norton-Taylor) applies to nursing school and Ben (Eric Scott) works for a rival lumber mill after a fight with John (Ralph Waite). Also, Jim Bob (David W. Harper) thinks he's adopted, and John Boy (Richard Thomas) loses his entire novel manuscript in a house fire.
