When a young woman is found dead outside her daughter's catering shop, Joanne Kilbourn (Wendy Crewson) can't ignore her instincts as an ex-cop and former private investigator: Something's rotten, and it doesn't smell right. Taking a job as a crime reporter for a local television station allows Joanne to delve deeper into the case. But the evidence she uncovers points to shocking connections between the murder and an illegal prostitution ring.
