The West Side Waltz

Reclusive widow Margaret Mary Elderdice (Shirley MacLaine) would prefer to be alone with her piano. But she eventually sacrifices her solitude to take advantage of the fact that her next-door neighbor (Liza Minnelli) is a violinist. Ernest Thompson adapted his Broadway play (which originally starred Katharine Hepburn in a Tony-nominated role) for this made-for-television production that also features Jennifer Grey, Estelle Harris and Kathy Bates.
