The White Hell of Pitz Palu

Filmed in Switzerland, this German "mountain film" follows distraught husband Johannes Krafft (Gustav Diessl) as he combs a 12,000-foot peak searching for the body of his wife -- who was lost years earlier during a climbing expedition. A young couple on holiday agrees to join Krafft on a thorough exploration, but catastrophe strikes again. The supporting cast includes Leni Riefenstahl and Ernst Petersen.
