When small-town newlyweds travel to Rome for their honeymoon, the blushing bride finds unexpected glamour, adventure and romance -- but not with her husband. Her soap-opera hero, The White Sheik, is on a photo shoot in The Eternal City. Her heart is aflutter because the Sheik's larger-than-life style is bound to turn her boring, sensible world upside down. This film marks Federico Fellini's solo-directing debut.
