The Wild Party

  (1975)
In 1926, poet Joseph Moncure published a stunning poem about a Greenwich Village bash that goes dreadfully awry. Inspired by Moncure's work, The Wild Party chronicles the efforts of alcoholic silent-movie actor Jolly Grimm (James Coco) and his lover, Queenie (Raquel Welch), to relaunch their careers by throwing one unforgettable get-together. Instead, it becomes a dizzying descent into hell laced with bitterness and betrayal.
