Jazz musician Ken Vandermark, a modern master of improvisational saxophone and clarinet, is profiled in this frank, candid look at the daily life of a touring artist, from the excitement of live gigs to the pedestrian reality of financial struggles. Shot in a cinema verité style, the film is a window into Vandermark's routine as he composes music, interacts with fans and, of course, plays the clubs.
