Through a series of short vignettes adapted from the actual journal entries of St. Therese de Lisleux, French director Alain Cavalier tells the true story of a young girl who went to extraordinary lengths to be closer to God. With dreams of becoming a Carmelite nun, Therese (Catherine Mouchet) struggles to gain admission to the order, only to discover that she's dying of tuberculosis. Helene Alexandridis and Aurore Prieto co-star.
