This adaptation of Jorge Ibarguengoita's entertaining novel of the same name presents the irony of small-town life as part of the little bourgeoisie society of Guanajuato. It tells the story of a man, Francisco, who's in love with a woman, Gloria -- but, due to a chronic heart condition, Gloria is unable to carry on an affair. The film comically illustrates weaknesses and hypocrisy in an unusual way.
