They Came to Cordura

Labeled a coward for hesitating during a 1916 Mexican battle, Major Thorn (Gary Cooper) is told to choose five soldiers worthy of receiving the Medal of Honor. When he doesn't choose his superior, he's ordered to transport the men he did choose, and a treasonous woman (Rita Hayworth), through the blazing desert. On the arduous trek, the five men fall apart, and Thorn must take control. The film also stars Robert Keith, Van Helfin and Tab Hunter.
