In Florida, three Vietnamese youths are murdered and found with a single playing card, the ace of spades, laid on their bodies -- a killing style reminiscent of that practiced by American troops during the Vietnam War. When a lawyer (Brian Dennehy) hears that the accused killer is an old buddy from that same war, he takes on his defense.
