Three Days of Rain

Set during a soggy weekend in Cleveland, this potent indie drama -- based on short stories by author Anton Chekhov -- juxtaposes a series of vignettes about love, loss and salvation. From a taxi driver (Don Meredith) grieving over his son's death to a heroin-addled young mother (Merle Kennedy) tethered to an abominable situation, the disparate protagonists veer toward happy or wretched endings. Peter Falk and Lyle Lovett also star.
