A flight instructor and his British trainee vie for the love of a rancher's daughter in this high-flying World War II romance directed by William A. Wellman. At an Arizona military base, seasoned aviator Steve Britt (Preston Foster) is tasked with making a combat pilot out of Englishman Peter Stackhouse (John Sutton). The lessons go well until they both fall for pretty Kay Saunders (Gene Tierney), sending the men's friendship into a tailspin.
