Blending the plots of two Zane Grey novels, this first-rate Western finds rancher Marvin Hayden (Tim Holt) charged with the death of his neighbor, Chick Jorth (Steve Brodie), as part of a water company scheme to get its hands on Hayden's land. It's up his Mexican-Irish sidekick, Chito Rafferty (Richard Martin), and spirited saloon girl Ginger Kelly (Virginia Owen) to clear Hayden's name by unmasking the real murderer.
