Things remain unstable on Third Earth as the Thundercats fend off powerful demon priest Mumm-Ra and his mutant followers. In the show's second season, Mumm-Ra captures the Thunderians and has them sent to Fire Rock Mountain. Later, the Thundercats believe they've destroyed Mumm-Ra for good, only to discover that they thought wrong. When the Thundercats return to Thundera, they learn Mumm-Ra continues to threaten their existence.
