Seijun Suzuki directs this story of Tetsu (Tetsuya Watari), a former gang member who's attempting to live the straight life. Tetsu faces a tough challenge when his gang is determined to pull him back into their world -- or kill him if he refuses. Unable to handle the pressure, Tetsu hits the road and becomes a drifter, but his past is never far behind. Suzuki's choreographed action sequences served as an inspiration for future gangster-film auteurs.
