Tolerance

Expelled by the church, a monk (Rupert Everett) retreats to an estate owned by nobleman Marmant (Ugo Tognazzi) and his young wife, Tolerance (Anne Brochet). Shunned by society, the austere monk nonetheless finds acceptance in Tolerance, who forms a friendship with the pariah. But their deepening relationship causes tension both in and out of the home, erupting into conflict and leading to shocking revelations. Pierre-Henry Salfati directs.
