Orphan Tom Sawyer (Whitaker) and his scrappy pal Huck get into all kinds of mischief around town, and even though he shirks his responsibilities, Tom always manages to charm freckle-faced Becky (Foster) and his Aunt Polly (Celeste Holm). But when the boys witness a murder, Tom faces a life-and-death situation.
