International stars Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni team up for the first of their many collaborations in this Italian crime romp. After gorgeous Lina Stroppiani (Loren) steals his taxi with two accomplices, cab driver Paolo (Mastroianni) discovers that she comes from a family of thieves. Nonetheless, he falls for the beauty, and -- believing marriage will set her straight -- begins pursuing her with a vengeance. Vittorio De Sica co-stars.
