Inspired by a tale from Russian scribe Ivan Turgenev, Torrents of Spring finds the noble but impoverished Dmitri Sanin (Timothy Hutton) caught by indecision. He wants to marry sweet Gemma (Valeria Golino), but is under the spell of the married-but-available Maria (Nastassja Kinski). Before it's too late, Dmitri must make a choice … but who is the right woman for him?
