Director Benoît Jacquot transforms Giacomo Puccini's "Tosca" from a grand stage opera into a compelling film, with the help of conductor Antonio Pappano and the orchestra and chorus of London's Royal Opera House. As the story goes, fiery diva Floria Tosca (Angela Gheorghiu) is determined to kill her tormentor (Ruggero Raimondi) and flee with her lover (Roberto Alagna). But when her plan backfires, she's driven to desperation.
