With characters inspired by a line of 1980s action figures, this animated series deals with two factions of alien robots -- both able to disguise themselves as everyday vehicles -- as they battle on Earth for energy to bring to their home planet. The show's dramatic storytelling brought a new level of depth to Saturday morning cartoons, and the brand's iconic popularity spawned a series of live-action films from director Michael Bay.
