Burridge's department store fires and rehires ham-fisted stock clerk Norman (Norman Wisdom, in his film bow) so often that he barely has time to pursue his dream girl, co-worker Sally Wilson (Lana Morris), in this 1953 British comedy. But when he uncovers a scheme to rob the store, will his heroics win over the new store owner (Jerry Desmonde) -- and help Norman win Sally's heart? Margaret Rutherford and Moira Lister also star.
