Forced to flee when a cop is killed in a gang war, mobster Ho Lung (Lung Ti) returns years later to find that his boyhood chum (Bak-Ming Wong) has gone straight and Lung's girlfriend, May (Brigitte Lin), is wed to abusive gangster tycoon Kuk. After Lung gets his hands on a ledger detailing Kuk's misdeeds, he comes up with a way to save May, but the plan goes awry in this blood-spattered retelling of the 1938 classic Angels with Dirty Faces.
