Rap legend Tupac Shakur's life was cut short in 1996 when he died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. This film provides an authorized account of his life, with his mother Afeni Shakur serving as a producer. Also making it unique is the use of otherwise unattainable material from the MTV archives. Through audio and interviews recorded before his death, Tupac's story is presented along with his music, poetry, rare photographs and home movies.
