Two Soldiers

Adapted from a short story by William Faulkner, this bittersweet drama (winner of the 2004 Oscar for Best Live Action Short) follows two close-knit Mississippi brothers facing separation after Pearl Harbor is bombed. When Pete Grier (Ben Allison) enlists in the military, his 9-year-old sibling, Willie (Jonathan Furr), wants to sign up too but is forced to remain behind. Crestfallen about Pete's departure, Willie sets out on an epic journey to the recruiting office in Memphis.
