Brothers Jake (Tim Blake Nelson) and Josh (David Arquette) work at a Midwest vegetable farm and are cared for in every possible way by their doting mother (Lois Smith). When their mother dies, the boys realize they're hopeless at taking care of themselves, so they head to Russia to search for wives. When they settle on just one wife (Emily Mortimer), how will their new companion feel about getting two men for the price of one?
