Respected banker John Hewitt (John Litel) reluctantly places a small bet at the racetrack and wins big. Suddenly hooked on the prospect of easy money, Hewitt becomes addicted to gambling and risks losing everything in this 1951 morality film. After making bigger and bigger bets, his luck starts to turn and he quickly burns through his savings. When he hears about a sure thing, Hewitt considers "borrowing" some of his bank's money.
