Carefree bachelor Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen) sees his womanizing days come to an abrupt end when his high-strung, recently divorced brother, Alan (Jon Cryer), moves into his Malibu pad with his wisecracking young son, Jake (Angus T. Jones). Despite the frequent and hilarious chaos, Charlie learns that family comes first, although his caustic mother (Holland Taylor) often complicates matters.
