Miki Manojlovic and Slavko Stimac star in director-screenwriter Emir Kusturica's fantastical dramedy, which blends politics, violence and sex. Lies fester in a World War II weapons factory in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, where workers toil at their jobs. Decades later, they're convinced the war is still raging, though it's long been over. They finally break out ... but still can't find peace. Honored as Best Film at the 1995 Cannes Film Festival.
