Adapted from Steve Martini's best-selling book, this courtroom thriller opens with Paul Madriani (Brian Dennehy) mourning his deceased wife, caring for his daughter and negotiating a brutal custody dispute. But his life gets turned upside down yet again. His sister-in-law (Patricia Richardson) has just become the prime suspect in a murder. Jean Smart co-stars as U.S. Attorney Dana Colby, an old friend of Paul's.
